The CAPCOM Greatest Hits Sale of March 2020!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Yeah, another.

Still looking to dump your digital wallet into something and digitally download games that are too scary to go outside to get? Then take a look at the CAPCOM Greatest Hits Sale on the Nintendo eShop:

CAPCOM Greatest Hit Sale Nintendo eShop March 2020 Dragon's Dogma Okami Resident Evil Mega Man Ace Attorney Monster Hunter
There are seven games in the sale! It ends at the end of March! (2:59 AM Eastern on March 31, 2020.)

The games are:
  1. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen for Nintendo Switch at 33.33% off ($19.99)
  2. Ōkami HD for Nintendo Switch at 40% off ($11.99)
  3. Resident Evil 4 for Nintendo Switch at 33.33% off ($19.99)
  4. Mega Man 11 for Nintendo Switch at 50% off ($14.99)
  5. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for Nintendo 3DS at 70% off ($8.99)
  6. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice at 60% off ($11.99)
  7. Resident Evil Revelations for Nintendo 3DS at 60% off ($7.99)

I have no idea how CAPCOM decided what counts as a “Greatest Hit!” and what doesn't. Why don't they consider any of the Street Fighter or now-on-Switch Devil May Cry games greatest hits? There is a weird mix between just-released games (Mega Man 11 released in 2018; Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice is from 2016) and ports/remasters (Dragon's Dogma is originally from 2012...Ōkami is originally from 2006, while Resident Evil 4 was the biggest accomplishment of 2005).

Of course, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice was 60% off on a sale that began as recently as two weeks ago... and ended last week. Don't think that just because CAPCOM is CONSTANTLY (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice has been 60% off every month since November 2019, and twice now in March 2020) discounting their games that they have no value. Spirit of Justice is excellent. Best game of 2016. The other games on sale are great, too (hence “greatest hits”), such as Ōkami HD. But if you had to pick one... Ace Attorney. Always.

Ludwig isn't sure that CAPCOM is even aware how often they put their games on sale, or if anyone even buys them at full price anymore. Just wait for the inevitable sale. Still, the Ace Attorney games are spectacular at any price point, even above full price! They're fundamental to the KoopaTV journey.

A few weeks later, in April, CAPCOM moves their sale to the Xbox One.
The eShop gets another formal CAPCOM sale in April 2020.
CAPCOM brought back their Greatest Hits Sale at the end of June 2020, with a few different games and different prices versus March!

    2. Would giving it another buy make me more likely to give it another try?

    3. Giving it another buy will make you more likely to give it another try.
If you are asking me why, it's so you won't feel buyer's remorse and cry.

    4. *I* don't want to give it another try...the game would barely let me get halfway through just learning how it worked before it thrust me into this like sequence that was waaaay too hard with the Wii Remote. (The bit where you have to like make flowers bloom in a sequence)

    5. My copy already gave me buyer's remorse.
Buying a second would only make it worse.
Does the remaster have such a change in pace?
No, if I bought it again, the same issues I'd face.
My original save is two-thirds of the way through.
I'd rather start from there than start over anew.
