(Part 2) KoopaTV's Live Reactions to The Last Of Us's Story!
Continuing where we left off last time, the [Koopa Keep] AIM Blast is spectating Naughty Dog's supposed gaming masterpiece, The Last Of Us. Here are our reactions to the second third of the game, as seen by the following video. You're free to watch and follow along, of course. I recommend opening another window with the video and watch it that way so you can scroll down this page to read the text. I'm Nintendork 13 13, and RawkHawk is... RawkHawk2010.

(Part 1) KoopaTV's Live Reactions to The Last Of Us's Story!
Rawk had this novel idea where we at KoopaTV should actually experience games before we talk about them. Since no one should care about the gameplay of Naughty Dog's The Last Of Us, we're watching all the story and cutscenes of the game. Watch and read along, if you wish. I'm Nintendork 13 13, Rawk is RawkHawk2010, and YoshiRider is masteryoshirider.
Oh, I'm only going to say this once. See the bottom of this article for why we keep referring to Joel, the main character in The Last Of Us, as "Nathan Drake". It's one of KoopaTV's most classic images.

A Mega Apology, and My Excuse Is Gone
No, the title doesn't refer to Mega Man. It actually refers to something I wrote in my earlier article, Mega Pokémon Are FANTASTIC!. I still stand by that they're fantastic, but in that article I wrote:
"So to avoid this situation, rather than make knock-offs of old Pokémon and call them new, Game Freak's designers are taking old Pokémon, making them accessible in Kalos, the new region, and then improving upon them! Since these aren't new species, they also shouldn't be taking away from the 100+ new Pokémon quota we're supposed to get every new generation like actual new evolutions would."

(Boss 2) Trayvon Tyson's Punch-Out!! Strategy Guide!
It's part of Punch-Out!! culture to sit around on the playground exchanging tips to progress further in the game. Because I'm the kid everyone on the playground wants to be around, I'm taking it upon myself to be the definitive source for all things Trayvon Tyson's Punch-Out!!. So there are five bosses in the game, and I'm going to tell you all how to succeed against them. I'll only detail their moves — I don't want to spoil the entire experience for you!

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies IS NOW OUT!
The last time I made an article that was just "go buy this game it's out now" was when EarthBound came out. And I managed to advertise Ace Attorney there too. This time, the long-awaited Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies is out as of 12 PM Eastern time today. Download it for only $30. Rated M for Mature. You don't actually have to be 17 or older to get past the Mature filter on the eShop (Say you were born at any time in 1995). And if you get it within the next two weeks, you get a free costume pack! Thanks, Capcom!
And if you aren't convinced to get the game yet, I'll write a review of it when I'm done. A KoopaTV-exclusive! That's a promise. And when I'm done with it I'll also get Pokémon X. Unless they never fix the game-breaking bug.
Ludwig is too busy playing Dual Destinies to write substantive articles, but he's never too busy to reply to your comments! Comments like, "Hey Ludwig I just got Dual Destinies too!" will be responded to with variations of "Good job!". Do you want your purchasing behaviour positively reinforced? Then comment!
Turns out they DID fix the bug! Read Ludwig's article on that here!

Obamacare Not Like A PlayStation 4?
Those who read KoopaTV last week (and if you haven't, here is your chance) saw TWO articles about Barack Hussein Obama. In the first, he gave free advertising to the Xbox. Microsoft was pleased. In the second, President Obama attacked KoopaTV. Now this week Obama is continuing his rampage by giving free advertising to Sony and the PlayStation 4. Watch this.

I'm Sick of Charizard
Back in the day, before competitive battling was really a thing, there were only three fully-evolved starters: Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. Blastoise was on the cover of Pokémon Blue, and Charizard was on the cover of Pokémon Red. Poor Venusaur and Pokémon Green were stranded in Japan, unless there was a Japanese kid on your playground (or a bootlegger) who wowed everyone with his weird copy. Rumours flew about the censorship between Japan and America, but that's irrelevant to this article. Besides the games, kids growing up in the 1990s were exposed to the trading card game, where Charizard was the most valued card, and the anime, where Charizard was the most valued member of Ash's team. And it gets worse from there.

Bash Capcom, But Not Capcom USA
You can proclaim that Capcom in Japan is out-of-touch and mishandles their franchises terribly. And we can find some agreement in that. However, some people, including my KoopaTV colleagues, dump everyone associated with Capcom into one box. Let me give you several reasons why this is a misguided approach. And remember: If (and when, because people do this) people bash Nintendo (of America), they frequently bash it for Nintendo of America's decisions or Nintendo of Japan's. Reggie works with what he's given. Keep that in mind.

Obama Attacks KoopaTV
Barack Hussein Obama needs to stop making the news on KoopaTV. We have videogames to write about, but when the president of the United States tries to bring the world against someone (like he did with George Zimmerman), we'll write about it. 'cause it shouldn't be done. Anyway, after our article yesterday and subsequent e-mail to the White House (he hasn't replied yet, but when he does, we'll have an article on it), Obama has made a public statement attacking bloggers. See the Best of Cain counterpart article to this article for the exact quote and video.

Shut Them Up By Shutting Them Down!
I wouldn't normally take the opportunity to write about things like the United States federal government "shutdown" on KoopaTV, but Barack Hussein Obama MADE ME. If he's going out there suggesting that if people want a free videogame console, and that it should be the Microsoft Xbox, then he's completely out-of-touch.

I'm DEFINITELY Not Getting XY With Game-Crashing Glitches
By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Justification.
There are horror stories going around that people who have bought Pokémon XY have saved in Lumiose City while outdoors. This causes the game to break. This is the consequence of a hurried, worldwide release. Pokémon games always launch with glitches, but our Japanese friends have always suffered for us first. Not this time, though. Worldwide train of pain!
Of course, I'm not going to get this game until the game-breaking bugs are addressed and gone. There's a reason why the GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is better besides controls: No game-breaking Cannon Room glitch. I don't like the idea of "well just don't save there." What if I inadvertently forget that warning? It's a portable game. Anything could happen. I could be playing right before dinner is ready right next to the Lumiose cab, save my game, close it, eat dinner, and come back and find out I'm doomed forever. That's not GOOD.
I've received a LOT of requests (my fellow KoopaTV colleagues and the rest of Koopa Keep, people from Pokémon Online, offline friends, siblings) that I should just get Pokémon X already. Unfortunately, The Pokémon Company International hasn't chosen me to receive a free copy or a free anything. The winner's list is posted here (as of publishing it's not updated with the winners yet, despite the contest ending).
So since I haven't won, that means I'm going to stick to my original plan: I'm not getting Pokémon X until after I'm done playing through Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies. And THAT'S Day 1 for me. I reaffirmed it in the footer of this article, but people still doubt my dedication. This whole game-breaking save glitch just makes me more confident in my decision.
Besides, I need to wait a little bit to get my money replenished. Why not consider donating to KoopaTV? ...Just kidding. (For now.)
Ludwig's 3DS friend code is 3351-5164-3598. You know, so you can play him in Pokémon X when he eventually gets it.
Ludwig got the game two months later on his birthday.

Map Screens — Lost The Way
Back many years ago, there was a dude named Christopher Columbus. He went off the map and rediscovered the Americas. His story isn't important to this article, however. What IS important? That map screens in platformers, popularized by Super Mario Bros. 3, are either done terribly or done well, depending on how implemented. This article will examine the following Nintendo (and one CAPCOM) games:
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Kirby's Adventure
- Donkey Kong Country 3
- Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
- Mega Man Zero
- New Super Mario Bros.
- Donkey Kong Country Returns
- Paper Mario: Sticker Star

KoopaTV Now Has a Twitter!
Remember the "Knowing When We Update" article? No? Well, I updated that. For KoopaTV now has a TWITTER ACCOUNT! Ran by yours truly. This is the first time I've ever used Twitter, so if any of y'all got Twitter tips, please share.
And just like our Facebook page, there is unique flavour text to every update post. Reading it all is all part of the KoopaTV experience that you won't find ANYWHERE else.
And yes, it is @TheREALKoopaTV. Because there are fake ones out there.

Cities and Pokémon Mascots — Full Explanation!
I normally wouldn't do an article about specific Nintendo social media actions (unless I win a contest or something) but this is quite interesting, especially since it's endorsed by The Pokémon Company International. What am I talking about? They teamed up with BuzzFeed to promote Pokémon (and as you'll see, a subtle Pokémon X/Y nudge) by giving various worldwide cities Pokémon mascots. It struck me as a Punch-Out!! type of action to do, given the... "stereotypes" involved. So let's go over these.

Miiverse and Developers
One of KoopaTV's very first articles was about "The Importance of Miiverse". That importance was mostly for Nintendo and for consumers. However, some indie developers are also claiming that Miiverse is good for them, as well. Only if their output is actually quality, of course.

Character Battle IX Favouritism Bracket
If you want to see who I'd vote for in Round 1, click here. Unfortunately, reality didn't reflect who I'd like to win for the entire tournament at GameFAQs. So starting below are my Round 2 favouritism picks and then the rest of the tournament too, (Round 1 is in what I just linked — although I changed Ryu H. to Kefka!) I may provide comments if needed!
So, why is this important? Because characters are one of the best things about videogames, the way you personally involve yourself in and interact with characters is something unique to the medium. In fact, characters can sometimes be even more important than gameplay!

Facebook's Mobile Game Publishing
A while ago, Gamasutra reported that Facebook will be entering the mobile game publishing arena. This means that, whenever we write about Facebook in KoopaTV articles, it gets to be bolded like any other industry-relevant company! Speaking of which, go Like our Facebook page. (Anyway, analysis to follow.)

Even Activision Thinks AAA Games Are Problematic
Infinity Ward and Activision folk think that "games are becoming harder to make and more expensive to make". Didn't I just write an article about that? ...Yeah, I did! (And a lot of people have seen it.) They're developing Call of Duty: Ghosts for "five consoles, six if you count the Wii". (It's actually the Wii U, but that's okay. Not a lot of other people know the difference, either.)

The Perfect Time For Playing Ace Attorney
There are so many ways you can get into the adventure-genre (Interestingly, they're the only Capcom games under the genre of "Other" on Capcom's website) Ace Attorney series now. Let's review them, for Capcom's sake. And thank you, October Nintendo Direct, for providing a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies demo in the Nintendo eShop.

Tropical Depression Coming to Donkey Kong Island
Well, Rawk was supposed to write an article about his depression and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Unfortunately, his depression continues. As in, he's so depressed he can't write articles. Time to take it to the [Koopa Keep] AIM Blast, because that's what Koopa Keep is all about: We look after one another! (And try to kill plumbers.) I'm Nintendork 13 13, and RawkHawk2010 is... RawkHawk.

Ludwig's Thoughts on October Direct 2013
As the sub-title suggests, I wasn't here yesterday when the Nintendo Direct happened. So I've had a lot of time to collect my thoughts on everything. If you missed it, watch it here:

KoopaTV's 10/1/13 Nintendo Direct LIVE Reactions
Nintendo delayed Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. I reacted appropriately. (I'm Rawk, YoshiRider is masteryoshirider, and Ludwig wasn't even here. This was in our [Koopa Keep] AIM Blast!)
