KoopaTV Was Hiring!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Want to be part of our staff? Look for job openings below!

Do you want to join a hip organisation that is making waves across the Internet? Do you want to be part of a company culture where you set your own hours, can wear whatever you want, and basically have unrestricted speech? Do you want the opportunity to talk, play, and write about videogames or anything else all day? If you're okay with not being paid anything (but the résumé [we will even be your references/recommendations], learning, and fun potential are limitless), then KoopaTV was the place for you!

Unfortunately, KoopaTV is no longer hiring due to no longer producing new content. Everything below is for posterity.

Benefits also include being in the KoopaTV Nintendo Switch Online Family Group, which saves you money for the online subscription; as well as membership in our exclusive Discord group.

KoopaTV is proud to contribute to the communities that we serve. For more information, see KoopaTV's Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

Any positions that KoopaTV has open will be listed below, with all of their details. If you would like to apply for any of these, send an e-mail to jobs(at)koopatv(dot)org expressing your interest and why you would be right for the job (include a résumé and references if you got 'em). If you comment below, we'll see it, but it's best to talk about these things in privacy.

We'll have an e-mail-based interview and may ask you to submit some work.

All positions start right away and hires are decided upon an on-going basis.

We do not accept individuals with ties to the modern KKK, neo-Nazi groups, ISIS, the Taliban, or al Qaeda.

We do not accept those under the age of 18, unless there are extraordinary circumstances.

KoopaTV is significantly more likely to accept your application if we already know who you are and you regularly interact with the site.

    1. AIM is amazing and totally worth getting.

Obviously not many people still have an AIM account but it's quick, easy, and free.

(Rawk doesn't even have an AIM account he has a Pidgin account which gives access to multiple instant messenging clients at once.)

  3. Well... AOL? Really? I wasn't aware the whole thing wasn't defunct by now. I wouldn't mind writing some content, I suppose, but you can't really demand for people to get a name defunct. Though I might get it if there's a demand... or something. I'm bored and got nothing better to do.

I would probably stick to Nintendo-related news and likely a couple theories relating to the universe of Mario, such as what spiked shells come from, why some nonhuman characters have hair and some don't. Lame crap nobody talks about. Though I understand if there's no demand or if you remember the salt I threw your way for talking shit about my dude, Koops.

    1. Oh! You!
Hi! You're back! Awesome! We enjoyed you when you were tossing salt. No hard feelings from us.

First of all, AOL Instant Messenger is still a thing. It doesn't, uh, get updates or anything anymore, but it's not defunct. It's a lot better than, say, Skype, for a variety of reasons. These range from the EULAs to the significantly higher degree of personal expression on AIM when actually transmitting text. Also, publishing live reaction logs, which are copy-pasted right from the AIM chatroom, is easier on AIM than Skype.

We also keep AIM because we have all of the conversations in our AIM Blast (permanent chatroom) logged for the past, I dunno, 5 years or more, long before KoopaTV existed.

Anyway, sounds good! (Though, Wendy was/is/might/said internally she would write about hair-related things some months ago, but she might not! ...Point is, some folks do talk about it!) We love writing about stuff nobody talks about, actually. That's a lot of our articles and we can put a lot of creativity into that. :p

Anyway, we totally prefer to talk about hiring decisions privately (such as over e-mail with jobs@koopatv.org) as opposed to the public comments section.

If you really don't want to get AIM or a chat client compatible with AIM (Rawk uses Pidgin, for example) and/or don't actually want to be part of our staff, then you can always be a re-occurring guest poster.

      But yeah, e-mail us.
