Stars and Firebars

I quickly realized defending the Confederate States of America was akin to defending Koopa Kingdom: Both are dismissed as evil — without debate — by their foes, who enjoy mainstream popular support. So why not actually do some sprite work?

I wouldn't normally respect Super Mario Bros. enough to use its sprites for something, but... here we go.

Don't you see the resemblance?

I guess I technically got the same number of stars as Starmen that the real version of the flag does. Yeah! Too bad fire bars aren't symmetrical or anything, but I don't see you having any better ideas (unless you leave a comment, of course).

Don't even try to say that you wouldn't know what the Stars and Firebars were supposed to represent if I didn't explicitly tell you. It isn't that bad! (Note how my opinion of my own artwork deterioriates the more I write about it...)
