KoopaTV's February 2016 Review Newsletter

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Our first February with a leap day. Let's face it: It'll probably be our last one, too.

Yadda yadda yadda KoopaTV had a great February 2016, now it's March, that's how the calendar works. Let's pat ourselves on the back and move on.

...Eh, we still want you to check out some great February articles. Even though February has the least amount of days in the year (February 2016 had one more than usual, though), it tied January 2016 as having 21 published articles. Here are the best 5 in chronological order, though they're all worth reading:

  1. Cybersecurity Concerns: Paranoia or Serious Threat?
  2. Were We Right About the Miiverse Summer Redesign?
  3. A Pokémon-Sponsored Splatfest: Pokémon RED vs. BLUE
  4. Donald Trump Demands Apple Boycott — For the Wrong Reason
  5. Fire Emblem Fates Ain't Censored, but Localised
Yeah there are some snubs there. That's what happens when you have a site with great content on a very regular basis but you only pick five to show off. What I find to be the best is also totally subjective to me. But you know what ain't subjective? Number totals. Which brings me to...

Round 6 KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program Leaderboard

  1. ShinyGirafarig — 141 points
  2. The Blue Yoshi — 128 points
  3. Samantha Lienhard — 51 points
  4. Nandin Lopez — 37 points
ShinyGirafarig has already received her $10 Nintendo eShop gift code from me, and she's presumably putting it to good use. The Blue Yoshi also received the Cloud + Midgar DLC code for Super Smash Bros. For 3DS. That's all the goodies I've promised over the past two months. So congrats to the winners.

KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program ROUND 7 INFORMATION

So with Round 6 gone, what will Round 7 look like? I'm feeling nice — how about Round 7 is only one month long? With one prize: $10 NTSC (North America) eShop code. That sounds nice. Get to it. Same point values apply as last round. You can check out the rules and stuff here.

Quizzes and Feedback Forms

KoopaTV Feedback Form Part III and Quiz Part III are up, or will be shortly after this is published. Check them out here.

KoopaTV is Fair & Balanced

I've always maintained that KoopaTV is Fair & Balanced. But a lot of people have questioned that: How can a website be fair and balanced if its head writer is a partisan hack?

Breaking news announcement! As of today, March 1, 2016, Ludwig is now Independent, or Unenrolled. He is no longer part of the Republican Party, and is beholden to no one*. This should help KoopaTV's image of being Fair & Balanced, which it always was and always has been anyway. It's just a perception issue.

We probably won't be covering anymore of the Republican and Democratic primary presidential debates. It's been fun, but no one actually reads those and it's becoming REALLY painful to watch and write about. Everyone just sucks. You should join KoopaTV and move to Sierra Leone.

*With the exception of King Bowser Koopa and Koopa Kingdom. KoopaTV is still totally a propaganda website for that.

KoopaTV is still HIRING!

Do you want to make a difference in KoopaTV? Join it yourself. Look here for available positions and how to apply. If you don't, something bad might happen. Just... be careful to weigh that with how something bad might happen if you do apply. Not from us, of course. We're delicate and lovable. Perks include working from home and in your pajamas, and seeing from the inside how a great Internet content company operates! Plus, you get to build a portfolio! We also have pizza.

Be sure to share KoopaTV to everyone you know. They don't know what they're missing, and it's all your fault. Be sure to take this guilt-tripping to heart!

Next month's newsletter is here. It was published at the end of the month, though.
Last year's February newsletter had a momentary change in naming scheme back to the ol' way. It marked the one-year anniversary of the KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program!

  1. Of course I put it to good use. I finally bought Advance Wars 2 on eShop. I am voting with my money for a new Advance Wars game. I got the first Advance Wars download title through Club Nintendo. Europe is going to get Advance Wars: Dual Strike this week so I hope they will help out as well by purchasing the game while we at NA will wait our turn.
