By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - He's doing alright for himself.
The last MAR8 Marx Day from 2022, I was quite critical of Marx's plans for... uh... power and domination, on the basis that they didn't make sense and were never likely to succeed.
Since then, Marx has been playing the guitar for the Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Fest and licensing his face to Magolor and his Merry Magoland Souvenir Shop's dress-up masks. (If you consider the latter to be a spoiler, then don't look after the page break.) Plus, his hat and bow-tie are a costume in Kirby's Dream Buffet.
I believe Marx is more successful doing these artistic and capitalist endeavours than his villainous plots.
Marx is still relevant to Kirby and manages to find ways to get his jester hat involved in things.
Maybe I'm (un)secretly upset that Marx has this status as the biggest new character that people remember from Kirby Super Star. But what about Captain Vul, huh? He's not showing up as anything in any new games. He didn't even get himself a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, directed by a guy with a well-known bias for Kirby Super Star.
Update on March 9: Marx is now available as a Nintendo Switch icon element from March 9 to March 16!
This particular MARX (and the X there is supposed to be a placeholder to go after MAR, as in, an arbitrary day in the month of March) Day article is pretty bankrupt of creativity and material. Perhaps that's why KoopaTV is the only place that acknowledges Marx as having his own day? Everyone else seems to believe MAR8 is about women.

It's interesting that Marx's glow stick colour is pink, similar to Kirby's. The other glow sticks were non-pink colours. I never associated Marx with pink, personally. |

Marx isn't REALLY a Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe character... ...But if you are actually impressed with him, here's your week. The timing of this pretty much confirms Marx Day is real. |

The masks are creepy. I have never associated Marx with pink, if anything it should be a light purple color. The Mark mask looks a bit purple, not as much as his original appearance but still a bit purple. The character icon however, looks very pink. What is going on here?
ReplyDeletePerhaps Kirby is rubbing off on him.
DeleteQuite literally? Must be painful.
DeleteAll of those mouth-to-mouths from Kirby Star Allies...
