By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Let's appreciate some cool places on Earth.
Did you know that there is a real Rainbow Road out there? I mean, I can visit Rainbow Road anytime I want, but y'all human readers don't have that luxury unless you're evil illegal alien invaders. And I don't mean the rainbow that briefly appeared over Nintendo's Japanese HQ after Satoru Iwata's death.
I mean Rainbow Road in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It looks like this:
Looks really amazing, right? You can probably golf-kart here, though not on the rainbow itself. It's also not the only game-world-on-Earth scenario. There's more!

In North Carolina, there is a Capcom Avenue in the city of Wake Forest. Capcom Ave. includes a variety of places, such as "Carolina Partners in Mental HealthCare" when you go insane from Capcom not localising Ace Attorney Investigations 2 or Capcom in America pretending that Dai Gyakuten Saiban does not exist. There is also a "Spanish For Fun!" Spanish-language school at Capcom Avenue, so it'll get localised to Spain and South America in Spanish (unlike Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney — Dual Destinies).
Is there an English school? I don't think so. Typical Capcom.
Is SEGA still a videogame company? Uh... I think so? Well, here's something everyone knows: Sonic Drive-In!
"ROLLING AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND!" |
It's confirmed that Sonic Drive-In is unrelated to Sonic the Hedgehog in origin (because, y'know, predating), but they share many of the same themes.

There are probably hundreds of these connections that you can come across in your world. Share them in the comments section!
Ludwig would write more, but he doesn't hang out on Earth often. He greatly prefers Koopa Kingdom. Ludwig claims on his Facebook to be born in Bowser, Texas, while it still had people living there before Bowser allegedly burned the town down.
Ludwig already stated his disdain for Earth in KoopaTV's pathetic Earth Day "tribute".
Is the Nintendo Badge Casino on Rainbow Road too?
Funny, I'm moving to North Carolina!
ReplyDelete..Doubt I'll visit Rainbow Road, though.
From the looks of it, I'd have to sell various limbs, especially necessities.
Soooo.. ye.
Nice to know of its existence, however.
Yeah.
DeleteWell, North Carolina is a big place, so you might not be anywhere near Capcom Ave.
The state is pretty generic too from what I can tell.
