KoopaTV's November 2017 Review Newsletter

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Greater engagement for a better site!

We've been working really hard at KoopaTV during the month of November 2017 to really satisfy you and improve the site. I think, statistically, this is one of the most engaged time periods in KoopaTV history from a userbase standpoint, which makes me really excited as someone whose main goal is to try to foster a community around KoopaTV's amazing content. And, believe me, we ain't slouching on the content perspective. I think that'll be clear as you read this newsletter.

Of course, I wish to continue our success. You, the readers, can make or break that. We do wish to cater to you so you will feel good enough about us to be on Team Make.

Let's get some numbers on the screen:

KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program Round 17 Mid-Round Leaderboard and NEWS!

As of publishing, these are the standings for the KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program Round 17. The mid-round part indicates the round started on November 1, and it ends December 30.
  1. ShinyGirafarig — 38 points
  2. Kody B. — 31 points
  3. Charssie god — 29 points
  4. Lheticus Videre — 28 points
  5. Stray Dog — 28 points
  6. Nandin Lopez — 25 points
  7. Samantha Liennard — 23 points
You know, we could get into a scenario where there is a tie. I don't even know what happens if a tie occurs, but this is significant because, just to remind you, Round 17's prizes are $25 for first place, $12.05 for second place, $10 for third place, and $10 to a randomly-selected person based on a raffle system. (All prizes distributed via Amazon gift card code.) So even if you aren't in first, second, or third, you can win something. Plus, it's simple to get in first, second, or third, especially with big point-getting opportunities like guest posts, requests, filling out KoopaTV's fun Feedback Forms and Quizzes, and even one-time events like creating content around KoopaTV's games. ...Basically, anything on the KoopaTV Interactive Pages tab. Oh, and consistently commenting get you a long way.

This section isn't done yet, however. Note the NEWS! in the header. What could it be?

Yup, it's a new advertisement video for the KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program!

Doesn't it make us sound... secretive and illicit? I mean, if you're on KoopaTV, you do know that you have basically discovered the treasure trove of the Internet, right? You did well to find us.

The rest of the Internet doesn't want you to know about KoopaTV, because it puts them to shame.

The Top 5 Recommended KoopaTV Articles of November 2017

KoopaTV's top-notch content makes other sites jealous of our amazingly-talented staff. All the content on KoopaTV is worth reading and experiencing, but here are the top five of the month in chronological order:

  1. New Donk, New Donk: A KoopaTV Adventures Special — The first special episode and second episode overall of the incredibly well-received KoopaTV Adventures series. Plus, where the hell Vortexica has been. ...It features singing.
  2. Miiverse Has Now Been Discontinued — Stories From NNID PrinceOfKoopasMiiverse ended in November 2017. We reflect on it, and we really want anyone looking for Ludwig to come to KoopaTV. ...Though if you haven't by now, you've probably forgotten to. Punk.
  3. CAPCOM Executives Know Ace Attorney Exists?! Coming To Nintendo Switch?! — Fantastic news for fans of the Ace Attorney series, which includes us on KoopaTV's staff. In fact, KoopaTV takes credit for the Ace Attorney series's survival.
  4. Knickers in a Twist: The Pink Underwar — Pink underwear is underrated, and men that wear it such as Blood Falcon are very comfortable in their own skin. Sheriff Joe Arpaio's prisoners should man up!
  5. The Complete Primer on Net Neutrality and Title II Regulation — A very frequently-requested topic for KoopaTV to write about, this is one of the best explanations of Net Neutrality and the Federal Communications Commission's upcoming December 14 to end Title II regulation on the Internet that you can find on the Internet. Most of the other Internet sites are horribly biased, are lying to you, and don't know what they're talking about.

There are many other KoopaTV articles from November that we could've picked, so let us know in the comments section what you think of our top five and if you'd pick something else. Also, believe me, we have some content that we couldn't even get to publishing in November that is being pushed to December. Look forward to it.

And So There Were Five, But We're Hiring...

If you haven't been reading KoopaTV during Thanksgiving, then you might have missed that Roxy has left our staff. This means KoopaTV's staff count has dropped back down to five. Even when it was six, we've been wanting more staff members, so if you are interested, check out our Jobs & Volunteering page.

...But if you're a lout, don't bother. Haven't you noticed this newsletter's angle that KoopaTV is a quality treasure? We want our staff members to reflect that.

By the way, we bought www.ludwigvonkoopa.com

Did you know that KoopaTV was born as a parody of CainTV, former presidential candidate and current talk-show host (and Pokémon fan) Herman Cain's blog? CainTV has been hermancain.com for a long time now, and caintv.com redirects to it. This makes it a bit difficult to link KoopaTV to CainTV.

Well, we decided to buy the equivalent of hermancain.com: ludwigvonkoopa.com. Unlike what Herman Cain did by having his lastnameTV redirect to his fullname, I'm having my fullname redirect to my lastnameTV. ...We've just done so much branding around KoopaTV, and I don't want to make a new logo or anything.

So www.ludwigvonkoopa.com redirects to www.KoopaTV.org. At certain times, we might have it redirect to select specific pages on KoopaTV instead of the home page. We might even have it redirect to a SECRET KoopaTV page that would be inaccessible otherwise! (Which... sounds like a terrible investment of our time.) Be sure to check it out often. If nothing else, you'll end up back to this site that you love anyway.

We Updated the About Page a Bit...

I don't particularly think our About Page does a good job explaining what we do on KoopaTV, so there is now an entire new section at the top explaining the different article categories on KoopaTV. This goes well with the line of questions about how much you like those categories (and how frequently you'd like to see them) on KoopaTV's Feedback Form Part XIII, which we would love for you to fill out so we could not only give you points in the KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program for it, but also improve our site.

Corrections Corner

Ludwig accidentally wrote that Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon were KoopaTV's 2017 Best 3DS Game of THAT Year, when they were in fact 2016's. Props to Kody B. for pointing that out. It was a typo, I swear.

By the way, 2017's Game of THAT Year awards are coming up, so...

KoopaTV's 2017 Game Will Be Released This Month

You should know by now that KoopaTV releases a new videogame every year. Since we haven't released one in the first eleven months of 2017, you can deduct by process of elimination that the release month for our 2017 game will be December.

Please look forward to it. It's definitely coming along. In fact, it's been done for a while except for beta-testing and some artistic assets we are still waiting on.

You can be sure it'll be nominated in KoopaTV's Game of THAT Year Best PC Game of 2017.

Why not share the gem of KoopaTV to other people? It not only benefits KoopaTV to spread the love around, but it also benefits you because you get Referral points in the KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program!

    3. I'll keep track of the worst comments of 2018 starting in 2018.

...That said, I'll also keep track of best comments.

I don't want to incentivise bad comments!

  2. Something benefiting other "players" is that some incentives haven't been completed yet that could bring one up to a new ranking.

Engagement is going to be intense, so prepare yourself!

  3. It's my favorite time of the year because a new KoopaTV Scratch game will be playable soon. I cannot imagine what this year's theme will be and how it can possibly top The Wonderful 1237. Just what will it be centered around this time?
