After this, I'm going to put Rounds 5 and 6 in its own article. Anyway, it's my picks for the Divisional Finals in the GameFAQs Best. Game. Ever contest, where GameFAQs natives and whoever gets rallied across the Internet come together and vote on the best game of all time.

Division I:
(1) Chrono Trigger vs. (3) Super Smash Bros. Melee
Of the sixteen games remaining, here are the top two that I would be most happy with if they won the whole contest. It's a shame they're going at each other now, though. Best of luck to whichever wins!
Division II:
(1) Final Fantasy VI vs. vs. (2) Final Fantasy VII
Don't let the seeding fool you. If Final Fantasy VI won here, it'd be an upset. That'd be fun, wouldn't it? Besides, Kefka is my kind of guy. Instead of Sephiroth.
Division III:
(8) Pokémon Red/Blue vs. (6) Undertale
You know, I regularly hate on GenWunners for their disturbing attachment to Pokémon Red/Blue, but I need to put that aside so this tumblr.-fueled menace known as Undertale dies. To take down Super Mario World, tumblr. had to summon more of their kin than there were native GameFAQs voters. That's a full-scale invasion. Undertale must be defeated here for a proper battle between the winner of Division I and the winner of Division II.
Division IV:
(1) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim vs. (3) Super Mario 64
Pretty easy choice for me.
Division V:
(1) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time vs. (2) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Might as well make Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations look as good as possible by voting for the game that beat it. Even if it has no chance of winning.
Division VI:
(1) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past vs. (2) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
I'll have you know that Super Metroid came VERY close to defeating The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It was winning at some parts of the day, too!
Division VII:
(9) Super Mario RPG vs. (2) Resident Evil 4
This'll be a great match, I think. The winner here will probably beat Division VII's winner and go to the semi-finals.
Division VIII:
(1) Metal Gear Solid vs. (3) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Well this is pretty stupid.
No one followed KoopaTV's tumblr or anything else after Round 3's call to do so, so what's the point of putting anything here?

I don't get Devision 8, but I do know that Undertale needs to be stopped!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't really care since Kid Icuras: Uprising wasn't even represented, and Xenoblade Chronicles didn't even make it past the first round! Maybe some Zelda games, but that's it.
Well, I suppose a lot of people ARE interested in if people like MGS1 or MGS3 more, but that feud is meaningless to me!

ReplyDeleteI think the Undertale community's interest in the game has died down already. They had overtaken SMW by now last round, and those sort of people have very short attention spans anyway.

DeleteWell I decided to vote for Pokémon Gen 1 to show my support even though it is losing because it will lead to a sequel that will have a Pokémon based on a giraffe. The other game does not have "Giraffe Mom" instead of "Goat Mom".
