By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - KoopaTV goes on the road for Wave 2 amiibo.
I really want the Little Mac amiibo, as I have wrote about before. (I have since learned that the proper syntax is no capitalisation on "amiibo".) Little Mac is, in case you forgot, the hero of KoopaTV. So getting his amiibo is important.
One problem: That release date is a little... vague. Some sources online have reported that Wave 2 amiibo, that is, Diddy Kong, Zelda, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Pit, and Little Mac, have been released in America since December 14. Even so, it is midway through December and Nintendo's official site gives no specific release date! What is going on?

Best of all, he doesn't have a pole going up his ass. |

I went to the local Best Buy that I featured for E3 2013 and E3 2014 (and it looks like that Best Buy has gotten a returning customer, which should make hosting those E3 events worth it for them) to scour for amiibo. Here is what I found, taken with my 3DS camera:
From left to right: 2 Pikachu, 3 Yoshi, 7 Mario, 4 Link, 2 Peach, 1 DK, and 4 Samus. |
I went to a Best Buy employee and inquired as to the status of the amiibo (the employee initially spelled it "ameba"). I learned that there are absolutely 0 Villager amiibo in any Best Buy in my entire state, with 0 planning to be shipped. There were a few Fox amiibo in the inventory backroom, so always ask about that if you don't see your favourite on display. As for the wave 2 amiibo?
They actually had a Little Mac amiibo (as in, only one) in inventory, along with 1-3 of the other wave 2 guys. However, they were not allowed to be sold until December 19. So I would have to come back then, and you will, too.
In the meantime, you can enjoy Little Mac's adventures through other medium. Did you know that the Nintendo online store is selling cheap, refurbished copies of Punch-Out!! Wii as a featured product? And did you know that Punch-Out!! Wii is a very good game?
$11 for a game with amazing graphics, music, gameplay, and value... |
My buddy WaluigiBag bought the game off Nintendo's online store at this great deal, so Nintendo must have multiple of these. Do yourself a favour and pick it up.
“Ordered Punch-Out!! - Refurbished (Wii) from Nintendo Online Store!!!!” |
Of course, if you are keeping your money close to your chest (because you are going to spend it on gifts, right? ...Punch-Out!! Wii could make a great gift, but I understand if you don't want to give someone a refurbished game as a gift) then you can play Trayvon Tyson's Punch-Out!! for free, on your computer, with no download! You can still get a great Punch-Out!! experience that way, and understand why Little Mac is KoopaTV's hero.
I'll let you know what happens on Friday in regards to the Little Mac amiibo. Either way, did you know Best Buy has great StreetPass opportunities? Certainly helps with the huge StreetPass Mii Plaza puzzle pieces backlog Nintendo has been dumpin' on us.
Ludwig does not go out much, so he considers trips to Best Buy to be a major undertaking for the day. Why go outside when you can get community here on KoopaTV and also Miiverse, where you can Follow him at NNID PrinceOfKoopas? ...If you wish?
That Friday has happened. Did Ludwig succeed in purchasing the Little Mac amiibo?!
Little Mac isn't the only amiibo Ludwig wants. What about the Splatoon amiibo?!
Buddy! Wonderful article!!! I feel so honored that you have included my Miiverse post! Thank you ever so!!! Also I have New Play Control! Pikmin that I Purchased from Nintendo Online Store! It is like having a brand new copy! Nintendo refurbishes their product so well!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere you have it folks: Nintendo's refurbished products are just like new.
