KoopaTV's March 2017 Review Newsletter

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - The Nintendo Switch has only been out for a month?

It seems like the Nintendo Switch has been with us for a long time now, right? But it's only been a month.

Well, it hasn't been with me at all since I don't have one, but at least one dude on the staff does. Regardless of us being the worst Nintendo site in the world for not going into a huge amount of depth of every aspect of Nintendo's new hardware release, we're still a fantastic website if you're not actually looking for that. Here's a few examples why:

Top 3 Recommended Articles of March 2017

Here are my top three recommended articles from the previous month, in chronological order. You'll want to read these... and the other ten articles published in March, because they're all worth reading.
  1. Console Launch? On a School Day? It’s More Likely Than You Think!
  2. The CIA's Assassination Attempt Against Waluigi
  3. JonTron and Yooka-Laylee: The Ends Versus The Means

KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program Round 13 Mid-Round Standings

Here are the standings as of publishing!
  1. Lheticus Videre — 33 points
  2. Kody B. — 20 points
  3. Geoff Brabant — 13 points
  4. Nopo — 10 points
  5. Charssie god — 8 points
It's very, very easy to catch up here, since these are historically very low mid-round standings, and grand point swings  are easy to do with the many simple and fun ways to get points in the KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program! (Go check out the embedded spreadsheet on that page for what those are.)

Remember the prize: A $10 Nintendo eShop card code. That's pretty good for the minimal amount of competition here.

KoopaTV Always Hiring

I'm just saying. We're always hiring.

Ignore this if you're gonna be really weird or really angry if we'd reject you. That's happened to us before. It's scary how much people can change if they're upset from being rejected...

...Of course, you won't be rejected if you actually understand this website and don't come off as a total creep.

A Programming Note About Wonderful Wednesdays

I understand that this comment was likely made in jest, but in case you're thinking about it, I want to address it. “it” being the Wonderful Wednesday series of articles where we publish content related to KoopaTV's 2016 videogame, The Wonderful 1237.

It's common for videogame developers to have a blog where they talk about their game in some great level of detail. It's something they do to add value to their game, and inform people about game design and anything else they want to teach.

The only thing different here is that instead of being videogame developers with a blog, we're more like... bloggers with a videogame. Still, the principles SHOULD be the same. ...Except the writing is better and the game is free, so everyone can enjoy and immediately know what I'm talking about.

Since I believe in our art, I have no problem with dedicating a lot of article space and time towards promoting it. Hopefully you feel the same way.

Help KoopaV by giving some of your time to promoting it, too! Share KoopaTV around with your friends, colleagues, and moderately-bad-to-worst-ever enemies! Be glad that Ludwig didn't take any trips to Brazil this year.

  1. I'm afraid I have to correct you on this one, Ludwig. Because if anyone even looks like they're VAGUELY threatening my lead in this round, I'll take whatever measures necessary to 100% ensure that I DON'T give it up. Sorry guys, you'll just have to come back next season.

    1. If that's how you feel, then don't send us an e-mail trying to get hired since KoopaTV staffers can't participate in the rewards program. ;)

    2. You hiring me would be a BETTER prize than a dang $10 eshop card--I'd READILY give it up for that.

    3. ...Aw, that's so sweet. :)
(But if you wait a month you could get both!)

    4. I don't believe the proverbial ball is actually in my court as to whether I'll be waiting that long at this point.

    5. True.

I shouldn't be discussing this in public anyway!

    6. Indeed not! In fact maybe you ought to delete all the replies to my original comment, to be frank.

    7. I already saw all this. No use trying to delete the truth.

    8. See? Once it's on the Internet, it'll exist foreveeeeer.

    9. Are you blaming ME for this? Because it sort of sounds like you're blaming me when in fact YOU'RE the one who blabbed about me applying. :P

    10. I'm not blaming! I'm just being matter-of-fact.

    11. You can't hide the truth and levity of the almighty KoopaTV.

    12. Charssie's right.

      Where have you been anyway?

    13. ...oh. Yeah.

You got a ton of those.

    14. Ugh. Fine.

      We should talk privately sometime.

  2. It's also been a month since the Switch has been in stock anywhere for more than 5 minutes.
