Announcing and Launching KoopaTV Adventures!

By VORTEXICA - Watch the first episode here!

We've had lots of quality video material coming out lately to complement our articles, but now Rawk's not the only one making new audio-visual content for KoopaTV. Brought to you by Tea Storm Studios (that's me), on a budget of about 50p, the debut episode of an all-new photo comic video series: KoopaTV Adventures!

If you've ever read KoopaTV's TV Tropes page (let's be honest, you probably haven't), you may've noticed the entry "Photo Comic: Vortexica allegedly has one in the works, but the only thing that's come out of it is this staff photo. Which is still impressive". This short little mention was technically the first time this production was ever alluded to outside KoopaTV's staff-only AIM Blast, and the article it was referring to marked the first murmurings of what was to come in KoopaTV Adventures.

This has technically been finished since July, but got held up due to dithering over title and branding (that's important!). I'd also like to properly thank ocremix.org for allowing all their awesome video game remixes to be used by anyone with only an acknowledgement credit in return. Nice, that.

I do realise sacrificing 10 minutes of your life to watch this might seem like a rip-off, but trust me. So far feedback has consistently shown that the entertainment value and pacing make it fly by in what seems like half the time.

You can consider this the official KoopaTV Adventures publicity photo. Rawk's appearance is not exactly unprecedented.

As I hope has come across in what few articles I've written for KoopaTV, I like to go into detail and really put some thought into what I create. In the same way, considerable effort went into this; writing, props, filming, lighting, editing, et cetera. Most (not all) future episodes will also be much more ambitious than this was.

Now... some have voiced concern that...  this might mean they'll never actually see the light of day. True, there is no release schedule. I work on them when I can, and they come out when they come out. I have a life, you know. Still, I'd really rather this not turn into a stillborn project that dies with the pilot, or one of those web series that gets staggered to where only one episode or less comes out each year before it's finally axed altogether. *Cough*SuperMarioBros.Z*Cough*

Either way, I hope you all enjoy Episode 1 of KoopaTV Adventures! Wondering where Wendy was? Next time..

What do you think of KoopaTV Adventures? Inspired brilliance? Pointless waste of time and energy? Somewhere in between? Give Vortexica your feedback!

KoopaTV Adventures Episode 1 won the Best KoopaTV Artistic Corner Contribution award of 2016!
There's a new episode of KoopaTV Adventures... no, not Episode 2, but a  SPECIAL Episode!
Vortexica has disappeared, so KoopaTV Adventures is cancelled.

That's what happens one someone gets too overly ambitious on their product in the planning phase and then realizes how much of a pain animation is.

  3. I was wondering when the "TV" in KoopaTV would finally be relevant. Today I found out that answer.
