Anyway, if you think Ludwig talking to himself is sad, join KoopaTV's staff and help make it a more populated place. So, the Cloud announcement blows everything else away and I'm still shocked. There was lots of other great stuff shown and announced too, and I really liked this Nintendo Direct.
ReplyDeleteBut... I gotta admit, that Paper Jam footage worries me. All I wanted to see was story elements. Even a hint of story elements. Did you see anything that reassures you it isn't repeating Sticker Star's mistakes? (Except for probably having better gameplay, at least.)
Dialogue and stuff doesn't make for good footage for an action-oriented trailer.
DeleteI'm not sure if I should consider you optimistic or in denial. :P There was no reason it had to be a purely action-oriented trailer. I'm not saying they had to go full story trailer, but at least a hint of the story other than Paper characters in Mario & Luigi's world, or showing an original character or two.

I would not mind Cloud as much has that certain game series never existed. Please do not have a palette swap for Cloud that references that series.

DeleteI still maintain that the only Square Enix character that really should be in this series is Crono.
It would make a lot more sense for that character than for Cloud, given their history with appearing on Nintendo consoles. Cloud's handful of cameos make him a very weird choice, especially since he's the main character of the game that took Final Fantasy off Nintendo consoles.
