GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - It's a sweepstakes. Info after the "read more".

Back in the Pokémon Red and Blue days, the slogan for the Pokémon franchise was "Gotta Catch 'Em All!" I believe this was continued with Pokémon Gold and Silver but ended starting with Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire because it wasn't really possible to catch them all when those games first came out. (For example, Tyranitar wasn't available in-game, and backwards compatibility was eliminated.) Good thing we now have Pokémon Bank and all so we'll forever have backwards compatibility.

So it's kind of fitting that since your Pokémon from 10 years ago can theoretically be present in your Pokémon X and Y game (Pal Park your GBA cartridge in your DS Lite to a Generation 4 game, then transfer to your Generation 5 game, and then transfer to Generation 6) and forever accessible in your Pokémon Bank account means that the "Gotta Catch 'Em All" motto is FINALLY back. Even though there will now be over 700+ of 'em.

Catching 151 or 251 Pokémon is one thing, but 700+? That takes an extreme amount of effort, but with things like wifi trading and the GTS, it's possible. People have done it in each generation! And those that have already done it should fine each new generation a little easier to do it with. I've never done it in any generation, but whatever.

Oh, right. So The Pokémon Company International had a "surprise" today (it was kind of leaked but whatever) showcasing this terrible music video. I'm embedding it for informational purposes, not because I want you to listen to it.

Don't bash the anime itself for providing footage for a lot of this music video. I still maintain that the Sinnoh anime series is the best.

But there's one important thing to note here. At 1:04 in the video, a code of "XY1012" is shown. You're expected to put this into TPCi's new promotional website.

So where do you find the rest of the codes? Uh, I dunno. However, a look at the official rules PDF reveals that there is a free code offered of "XY738A". Important possible prizes include a free digital download copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y, and PLUSHIES. There are 4 weekly periods starting now for the sweepstakes.

I don't really want to tell you what the other codes are (I don't know them yet) because I wanna win! Which means I don't want you to! You're on your own from hereon out!

By the way, the given hints of "I want my geek TV." and "Keeping you informed on all the latest Pokémon news!" do not refer to KoopaTV. But there might be other codes in the future EXCLUSIVE to KoopaTV! Stay tuned to this website and any future article on KoopaTV! It could be anything. Or anywhere. On here.

According to TPCi, you should "stay tuned for hints about more hidden codes around the Internet, including at Pokemon.com, Facebook.com/Pokemon, and Twitter.com/Pokemon!" While you're on Facebook, you should Like KoopaTV's page!

So what about the winners? Look here.

  1. By the way this entire contest is America-only. At least Hawaii and Alaska are included, including America's territories.

That's the UNITED STATES OF America, to you.
