In the business world, they want people to analyse what's going on in the external environment, keeping an eye out for things like political malfeasance. KoopaTV does that all the time... just not out of concern for our own survival.
...And maybe we should've, since now we're stuck at 3 articles a week (besides this week, thanks to President Donald John Trump) thanks to President Donald John Trump's hate-mongering and bad international relationships.
(Not that we regret our endorsement of him.)
That's been the big KoopaTV thing for February, but for the foreseeable future, it's the new normal. Which means it's a good opportunity for some changes, as seen below:
Consolidated KoopaTV's Pages
If you haven't noticed, as of publishing, KoopaTV looks a bit different. (And I'm speaking purely for the desktop version, since the mobile version is garbage and hopeless regardless.)
It used to look like this:

Cleaner? Yes. Much cleaner. Now there's one less line to go through!
There's one downside, though: These critical pages were always just one click away. Now? They're two clicks away, tucked within the overarching themes of Informational and Interactive.
There's some pages that might want to just be floating there at the top (like The Wonderful 1237 currently gets to do), such as the Guest Posts page. Who knows how many less guest posts KoopaTV will now receive because it isn't immediately made obvious we offer them? Then people will click KoopaTV Informational Pages and still not see anything mentioning Guest Posts there, so they'll give up. It's REALLY in KoopaTV Interactive Pages, though, because writing a guest post is an interactive activity.
So maybe I'll float up Guest Posts, but where does it end? I could justify ANYTHING being floated to the top, and we'll be right back where we started.
Since I'm clueless, I'll ask you guys. And that segues nicely into the next heading...
New KoopaTV Feedback Forms and Quizzes!
KoopaTV Feedback Form Part IX and KoopaTV Quiz Part IX are now available to take. The Feedback Form includes important questions, such as about consolidated pages, games, and KoopaTV's reduction in article quantity.
And, as usual, the Quiz is fun.
Filling these out will get you a big bunch of points for KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program Round 13... which... I haven't announced yet. WHOOPS. And in order to do that, I better conclude Round 12. Announcing Round 13 of the KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program!
And here is Round 13. It's just like Round 12. It begins March 1 and ends April 29 at 11:59 PM Eastern. The prize is tentatively a $10 Nintendo eShop code, assuming they'll still be selling those in a post-Switch-launch world. I don't actually have anything left to give out in my possession, so I'll have to go out and buy something before April 29. I can manage that, right?
No scoring changes for Round 13, though maybe I should think of some due to there being less new articles to comment on. That's definitely affected and depressed the point totals up above.

Speaking of less new articles, since we've gone from 5 new articles a week to 3, it makes sense that every month for these newsletters we go from the Top 5 Recommended articles to the Top 3. Gotta keep it proportional, right? I shouldn't make the selections easier by comparatively having to be less selective!

There is no update since our update on the DMCA claim against KoopaTV from “Nate Bihldorff”, so we'll consider it fake news.

And sorry for not getting in touch about my Nintendo Switch event experience last week. It was fun, though. I wrote a blog post about it... I don't know if linking to it would be considered spammy? I just like how the blog post has my images and consistent formatting with titles and italics and stuff and covers my entire experience.
Essentially, my thoughts are that the Switch is comfortable, controls well, and that the games play pretty well. Sorry, that's not a very good summary, uh... yeah.
...Yeah, you're missing out on the fun that KoopaTV has to offer!
DeleteWell, I read your experience on ZNG. I guess I have some questions regarding things that have been discussed over in the [Koopa Keep] AIM Blast:
You said holding individual Joy-Con sideways is a bit uncomfortable. Do you feel like, since right and left aren't symmetrical, one of them has an inherent advantage over the other?
You also didn't think the HD Rumble was all that. ...I guess there's no question here, just a comment.
You also said they have headphones for Breath of the Wild. Was there actual music, or were toxic no music philosophies at work?

DeleteY'know, about the Joy-Con asymmetry, I was able to try both Joy-Con L and Joy-Con R held sideways, but I didn't think to try them right after each other to compare. So I don't believe I can confidently answer whether one is inherently better, though I can say that there wasn't a huge difference. I guess if you and someone you're playing with do find them uneven, you could switch controllers between matches in competitive games or something like that?
Even though there were headphones for BotW, I couldn't hear the game that well: it was loud in the room. There were little bits of battle music, and the cutscenes had music, of course. But wandering around has very minimal music: there's a focus instead on sound effects like wind, water, rustling grass, and all that. Certainly there's no bombastic field themes like we're used to from Zelda.
P.S. I have the game downloading on my Wii U now! owo
I'm not sure how competitive you'll get with one Joy-Con vs. one other Joy-Con.
