It shouldn't be a secret that I'm naturally inclined to defend Capcom at many opportunities, despite them being accused of regressivity and anti-consumer activity. One heavy critic of Capcom is Mega Man designer Keiji Inafune. Inafune is, of course, now quite known for starting Comcept and creating a Kickstarter for his new idea, Mighty No. 9. It's quite Mega Man-like.

To those who haven't heard yet: A new game in the Professor Layton series, named Layton 7, has been announced by Level-5. Well, whatever, it's not like KoopaTV really cares about this series outside of its crossover with Ace Attorney with Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney. Maybe we should, but none of us have played it! ...Wait, hold on. The new game in the Professor Layton series won't have Layton in it? ...What?

(Part 2) Smash 4 Character Roster Analysis!

With each passing day, the next installment in Nintendo’s flagship, colorful, fan-service plagued fighting game franchise approaches. Of course, I’m talking about none other than Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. Nintendo likes to save this hard ball until it’s really needed, only releasing one game in the series per home console, starting with the Nintendo 64. Smash 4 marks the first time the franchise will have a game on a portable system. 

And as with any new Smash Brothers game, all the hype is not centered around how the gameplay will be different, or what new stages or items we’ll see, or even how the game will utilize the Wii U’s GamePad (if it will at all). Instead, the hype is focused solely on the CHARACTERS. Returning characters, newcomers, and possible third party combatants. All the fans are busy compiling their dream roster for the game; whether you’ve noticed or not, you’ve thought about it at least once.

I think these people are a vocal minority, but to help clear a cloud of doubt, this post will be all about how this is nothing to fear. In fact, we should be excited!

Year Of Luigi Anniversary Card!

We all know the "Year of Luigi" is Nintendo's attempt at making that bastard's twin brother more relevant. To review, it's to promote games Luigi is in like Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and New Super Luigi U. It's all just marketing (despite some on Miiverse claiming that something special might happen by the end of 2013 — I think it'll be Christmas, not anything Luigi-related!) and because marketing on Facebook can be particularly cheap, Nintendo of America held submissions for a Luigi 30th Anniversary Card. And I won!

Round 3 are the Division Finals! And we start getting 24 hour matches. For those who don't know what this is, it's GameFAQs's 9th Character Battle. And this time, Link probably won't win (he should, though)! The first match is September 2 at 12 AM EST! My Round 2 votes are here.

KoopaTV's August Runthrough

Summer is now over. It's September. It felt like it was just very recently I wrote the July version of this article. I did say summer (and free time) ending wouldn't stop the flow of content, so let's put that to the test.
