New stuff keeps trickling in.
"New" isn't actually new, of course, though Nintendo will write that it's new.

I don't think we need any more evidence that Nintendo has abandoned the Wii U and its owners. I mean, making no more games or support for it is the definition of abandonment, ain't it?

Nintendo deserves more money from Splatoon activities. I mean, it's inevitable, right? The whole point of maintaining support after release is to get more money from your existing customers, not just give away more free stuff.
We're seeing that now.Ludwig Von Koopahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07286894104423855927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7803482805925136251.post-35246496438559143112018-03-09T19:26:57.908-05:002018-03-09T19:26:57.908-05:00Agent 3 was also in the Sunken Scroll for Marina&#...Agent 3 was also in the Sunken Scroll for Marina's backstory.Nandin Lopezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09186285507912182255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7803482805925136251.post-59745695151143939502018-03-09T18:36:49.948-05:002018-03-09T18:36:49.948-05:00I'm doubting that Sakurai is a human at this p...I'm doubting that Sakurai is a human at this point.

Does this mean Agent 3 is, uh, canonically a female?Ludwig Von Koopahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07286894104423855927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7803482805925136251.post-92158401590797670272018-03-09T18:34:44.769-05:002018-03-09T18:34:44.769-05:00Here I'd think you'd want to repeat Octopa...Here I'd think you'd want to repeat Octopath Traveler at least eight times.

I'll explain my thoughts on Smash's game status.

To your serious question: Not for $60. There isn't enough content to warrant that, but from the sound of it, this story mode DLC is bigger than the story modes of Splatoon and Splatoon 2 combined, and it's $20. Of course, as it says, the full version of the game is required to use the DLC.
One of the major lessons from that article about Callie and Marie and the Splatoon 2 story mode is how the single-player and multi-player elements of both games work together in tandem to give an experience, compared to how it works in a lot of other games where they are siloed and worked on independently or as filler. So your appreciation for the single-player won't be complete without also playing the multi-player.

Second serious question: Absolutely. Don't start with Travis Strikes Again, obviously. Start with the two games on the Wii.
Ludwig Von Koopahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07286894104423855927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7803482805925136251.post-7082002687011851472018-03-09T17:53:38.931-05:002018-03-09T17:53:38.931-05:00Okay, that's it.

When I saw the final trailer, I already knew it was Smash from the animation.

Unlike others, I didn't scream, but rather reacted with stunned silence and amazement. Afterwards, I began worrying for Sakurai. The music sounded ominous, and much more terrifying since I was wearing headphones.

I bought (or tried to) the Octo Expansion as fast as I could. It may be me, but I think I saw Agent 3! The developers are continuing to support Splatoon 2 for a long time coming, and I'm really glad they are.Nandin Lopezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09186285507912182255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7803482805925136251.post-59198575516476842462018-03-09T08:31:22.602-05:002018-03-09T08:31:22.602-05:00"It is said to be developed by HAL Laboratory..."It is said to be developed by HAL Laboratory instead of Bandai Namco who developed the previous two installments."
I'll get to your other comments soon, but for that one, I need a source.

All the Smash Bros. website says is that it's copyright Nintendo, and Nintendo and HAL developed Smash 64. It is said to be developed by HAL Laboratory instead of Bandai Namco who developed the previous two installments. This is quite unprecedented for Nintendo to announce a huge game such as this and release it within the same year. If there are no delays, then color me shocked.Kody B.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7803482805925136251.post-89316464586749412262018-03-08T19:04:06.389-05:002018-03-08T19:04:06.389-05:00Before I begin, where is Episode 2 of KoopaTV Adve...Before I begin, where is Episode 2 of KoopaTV Adventures, Vortexica? With that now said, let me delve into my thoughts.

The 3ds still refuses to die although it is apparent that now more than ever less and less games are releasing on it. Since the majority of these games are ports, I cannot say that I am excited for any of them. I have already played the original Bowser's Inside Story on the DS and do not feel like buying it again. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was a charming game on the Wii U, but the new Odyssey stages for the 3DS and Switch are still not enough for me to warrant a second purchase. I have not played the original Luigi's Mansion, but I have watched a let's play of it and played the sequel so I'll probably pass on it as well. As far as the other titles go, I'm not really interested in them.

Moving on the Switch, we can see even further evidence that Nintendo is abandoning us Wii U owners. Besides the Captain Toad re-release previously mentioned, Super Smash Bros. is more than likely going to be an enhanced port with new characters, stages, and modes similar to how Splatoon 2 is to the original game. I could be wrong about this, but considering SSB for the Wii U finished adding DLC in late 2016, I just do not see how a new game built from the ground up could be finished by this year so soon. Next, I was happy to find out that my prediction of Marx appearing somewhere in Kirby: Star Allies was correct. I'm still very hyped about this game and there is only one more week to go. Mario Tennis Aces is shaping up to be a great game as well, but I'm not really interested in it. As for Hyrule Warriors, Undertale, Octopath Traveler, Okami, South Park, Dark Souls, and Little Nightmares, I could not really care less about them to be honest considering most are ports. Lastly, the highlight in the entire Direct for me was for sure the new Octo DLC for Splatoon 2. For the amount of content being offered, I don't really mind the cost too much. Since both Splatoon 1 and 2 have both received generous amounts of free content months past their launch dates, I can say that $20 is not too bad for all that we will get in return.

Overall, this was a solid Direct even if there were a ton of ports announced. If this is anything to go off of, I can only imagine how great this year's E3 presentation will be.Kody B.noreply@blogger.com
