KoopaTV on TV Tropes!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - We're a CRT, and they're an HDTV. Combined, we can cover all your needs.

I would like to announce to the world a new KoopaTV initiative: We have partnered with TV Tropes to bring you the KoopaTV TV Tropes page!

KoopaTV TV Tropes banner logo
Wendy was supposed to make this, but she... didn't, so I made this in about a minute.

...And that's all we really have to say.

Oh, right. We want you to contribute to the page! Stay tuned for Monday's Newsletter so you can learn how we will bribe incentivise you to do that. We'll have a tab on our site that will lead right to our TV Tropes page so it'll never be far from you.

We hope that our partnership with TV Tropes will allow our readers to learn more about KoopaTV in a fun, new way. Y'know, besides just reading every article on the site. Which is still recommended for the full experience. And WE add value to the folks over at TV Tropes by exposing them to an awesome website they might have never seen before. So as you can see, everyone's lives are enriched.

TV Tropes is a natural choice for being KoopaTV's partner because they also exemplify the same values of Truth & Levity that we stress so much. And KoopaTV actually does use a lot of tropes. We consider our whole website to be a work of art, which is such a fundamentally different approach than the other videogame websites you may read or come across.

Oh yeah, you have like, a few minutes as of publishing to redeem any Club Nintendo codes you may have. Go do that. Just to add to the TVs, look how my Golden Sun code ended!
GOLDEN SUN WII U - CLUB NINTENDO
  A080-66KP-27VC-70TV
KoopaTV, TV Tropes, 70TV... We're in good hands. Hopefully there's the right channel for you somewhere there!

Ludwig doesn't actually watch TV shows anymore besides The Greg Gutfeld Show on Sunday nights at 10 PM Eastern. Anyway, he's an avid reader of TV Tropes, and how he's happy to self-servedly contribute to it. You should be happy to contribute to KoopaTV the website, and you can do so by commenting or submitting other content such as guest art/posts! And you might get a Nintendo eShop code for doing so.

King K. Rool, The Black Knight, Lloyd — Wave 3 Mii Fighter Costumes!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Super Smash Bros. 4 version 1.1.0.

Tonight, in Japan and soon elsewhere, Super Smash Bros. For Wii U (and For 3DS) got a new update, granting the updates-in-the-future Sakurai described the Sunday morning of E3 week for the "New Content Approaching" presentation. That includes tournaments and YouTube.

It also means a new round of Mii Fighters.

Left-to-right from top left: Hoodies, Flying Man, Bears, a loser, King K. Rool, Lloyd Irving, Samus, and the Black Knight.

The trailer for 'em is pretty cool. It's embedded below the page-break. We'll discuss it.

Ramifications of Miiverse Redesign Summer 2015

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - This doesn't seem to be going in the right direction.

Today I woke up wondering one thing: What the hell is Nintendo's Miiverse going to look like today?

I was going to write about the new Miiverse redesign when it was first announced at the beginning of the month. But I decided that since the details were pending and you can never trust a preview, that it would just be better to wait. I still took screenshots of all the parts of the announcement.

Miiverse Redesign Summer 2015 big changes Tom Nintendo
Nintendo Tom looks really happy. Should we?

And somehow, just somehow, it was worse than I imagined it would be. And since it's pretty close to, if not worse than what the original redesign notice promised, we'll use that as a guide for our discussion.

Dragon Quest X and XI: First Games on Nintendo NX?

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - What if "NX" is really Roman lettering, too?

It looks like Square Enix is on a roll: After decidedly winning E3, they still have more to announce little over a month later. Their E3 conference left a little sour jab at Nintendo with their now-famous quote that they have diverse offerings for "every viable platform" yet not a single game announced was on a Nintendo platform. That changes now, because Square Enix reportedly announced Dragon Quest XI is coming to the 3DS (well, pretty much all of the games in the main series are playable on Nintendo portables) and also to the Nintendo NX, along with the porting of Dragon Quest X. (Then they tried to mask their announcement by saying it was merely "under consideration".)

Remember: The Nintendo NX isn't even officially announced yet, making these Dragon Quest games the first ones that have been confirmed to appear. Or even the first to be considered, since it's only speculation from fans that The Legend of Zelda on Wii U will appear on it ala Twilight Princess appearing on both GameCube and Wii.

Isn't it interesting that Square Enix is the very first company to do this? Is it a sign of strong third-party support for the Nintendo NX? And is it confirmed to be on the console side of things, rather than the portable? After all, Dragon Quest XI could've been for the "Wii U and NX".

Speaking of the NX and Dragon Quest XI, notice something... weird now?

Pixels: The 8-Bit Disaster

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Hollywood doesn't understand gaming culture.

I don't understand why Sony (or their movie division) decided to release Pixels in theatres. Or anywhere. Why does it exist? Obviously they saw the success of Wreck-It Ralph a few years ago and wanted to replicate it... except live-action and with Adam Sandler (acting and producing). I can't give a detailed analysis about the differences between Wreck-It Ralph and Pixels and why the first was critically acclaimed and well-liked by moviegoers and gamers alike, and why Pixels is just garbage. I'm a videogame blogger, not a movie analyst.

I do know this, though: Damn, Pixels really sucks. Not that I've watched it, mind you. But I don't think this is a case of "you can't trust the reviewers."

Pixels film Rotten Tomatoes score fresh
I like that it's a critic consensus that, apparently, Pac-Man is one of the worst arcade games.
These critics should go into gaming.

Nintendo Teaming With Facebook...Super Mario Maker?!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - You may be surprised at my reaction. Or you might not be now that I said to expect a surprise.

Even though no one turned out to actually want to play Super Mario Maker when Nintendo made it available across America during E3 at hundreds of select Best Buys, Nintendo has not given up on promoting the game. And they shouldn't.

You could see them at San Diego Comic-Con, The Food Network, and now at the office of... Facebook?

Nintendo press release
"Nintendo is hosting a special "hackathon" event at Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park on July 28 and July 29. [...] The Super Mario Maker hackathon is exclusively for Facebook employees to design a special level in the game. [...] The event will culminate with designers presenting their creations to a panel of judges from Nintendo and Facebook. The winning individual or team has the opportunity to make the level available for Super Mario Maker owners to play after the game’s launch."
Of course, with the power of Super Mario Maker, Facebook's employees could also just buy the game after release and create as many levels as they want available for Super Mario Maker owners to play. But the press release continues saying that Nintendo will selectively release filmed parts of the "hackathon" on their social media levels, so this Facebook-branded level may get as much notoriety as the Super Mario Maker levels from the Nintendo World Championships! So notorious that they also are going to be in the final release. Who will design the better level: Facebook or Nintendo Treehouse?

But... let's talk about the implications of this event. And what it really is.

Arkham Origins Review

By SUPERDEKU - Batman: Arkham Origins: The Review.

Batman: Arkham Origins is the third installment in the Batman: Arkham series and is the first game in the Arkham series timeline. The game wasn't made by the previous developers for Arkham City and Arkham Asylum, Rocksteady Studios. It was instead developed by Warner Brothers Games.

The box art for the game on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Arkham Origins follows Batman (Bruce Wayne) a few years before the Arkham Asylum incident. You play as  a slightly inexperienced Batman, and younger, too. Bruce Wayne has gone under the guise of Batman for at least two years prior to Arkham Origins. He just became widely popular after and during the events of Arkham Origins.

Yosuke Matsuda's Law of Third Titles

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Let's come up with examples. And counter-examples.

Remember "Project SETSUNA" from Square Enix's E3 2015 presentation? It got a line in our log, and another line in our total E3 2015 recap. It's being developed by Square's new subsidiary, Tokyo RPG Factory. And we know nothing about it.

Anyway, Yosuke Matsuda, president of Square Enix, was referencing this "Project SETSUNA" when he said (according to Kotaku's translation):
"I believe that it is very difficult to immediately build up a big IP. Looking retrospectively at the gaming industry, many games take off or get their big break at their third title. [...] I call this my “Law of Third Titles” That’s why for the first and second games, you experiment to a degree where you can still be flexible, and if the series has grown enough to be able to expect a big hit for the third game, you expand the scale. If the third title is successful then all is well."
Now, it's impossible to make one rule that fits everything in the videogame industry, but this IS something that I've noticed in the past.

The Legend of Zelda NES Adventures of Link A Link to the Past screenshots comparsion
How the hell did this happen if not for the Law of Third Titles?

Donald Trump doxxed Lindsey Graham!?

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Where I come from, that's unacceptable.

Obviously, us politically-minded folks at KoopaTV haven't ignored Donald Trump's skyrocketing in the polls.

RealClearPolitics GOP polling average July 9 to July 19 Donald Trump data Republican presidential nomination
Look how many columns that table has!

The only thing rising faster than Trump's poll numbers (and the number of Republican Party candidates running for president) is Donald Trump's... total lack of control. Alternatively, it's completely deliberate. I mean, we're writing about him right now! (Rand Paul attributes that attention as the reason why Trump is rising in the polls. Well, do I have to endorse Rand Paul again?)

It's been internally noted (and I'm sure also noted on the KoopaTV fan discussion forums across the Internet) that Donald Trump appears to be the personification of KoopaTV. The man speaks the truth. The guy presents it with tremendous levity. Seriously, he's speaking what people are thinking but he's doing it hilariously. Exactly like KoopaTV.

But there's a difference between Donald Trump and KoopaTV, besides the whole he's-a-person and we-are-a-website thing:

New GRAPHIC DESIGNER: The Princess Wendy!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - My own very talented sister joins our staff.

You may have been wondering what happened to Ludwig Painting since I advertised it three months ago. The truth is, is that there is so much business flowing in I cannot do it myself. So I asked my dear sister, Princess Wendy O. Koopa, for help.

There's a reason our Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U is the magical paintbrush: We all got aptitude for this.

Well, she's been doing a phenomenal job, and I asked her to help me out with my other enterprise that obviously y'all are a lot more familiar with: KoopaTV! And... she said yes! See, the new KoopaTV.org is going places!

Her 65x65 avatar.

If we're looking for talent, then why not take the most nepotistic (or, "nepotastic", as I prefer) option and just hire my sister? She's guaranteed to be amazing and perfect, with all of the awesomeness you should expect from a Royal Koopa Family member.

Royal Koopa Kingdom Family Kamek Wendy O. Ludwig Von Super Smash Bros. For Wii U group photo
The Royal Koopa Family KoopaTV staff members, from left to right: Kamek, Wendy, and Ludwig.

Rawk objected because he didn't want the low-class non-Koopa misfits (he and the Transformer) to be outnumbered. I overruled him, obviously. Either way, expect Wendy to occasionally (because she's a very busy princess and basically is doing the majority of the work for Ludwig Painting) contribute great-quality visual assets to KoopaTV articles and other KoopaTV projects. Just another thing that makes us a step above all those other websites you might otherwise go to. (Or... just something that makes us tie with their higher standards. Either way.)

Oh, don't expect Wendy to ever write anything. She's the "Digital Graphics Producer", not another "Content Writer". Of course, if she ever wants to, then she can. (And believe me, if she ever does, prepare for a wrath never-seen-before on KoopaTV. We'll give a content warning ahead of time!) You may also find her in Live Reaction logs in the future!

The "Digital Graphics Producer" position isn't totally strikethroughed in the Jobs page, so that probably means KoopaTV is willing to accept more artistic types. Why not you? Unless you're talent-less. Then stay away. Either way, welcome Wendy O. Koopa to KoopaTV!

Ludwig is worried about the lack of output from Wendy.

EVO 2015 and Splatfest July 17-19!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - A weekend of gaming. ...What Iwata would've wanted.

My apologies for not publishing this article early in the morning, but I've been so busy watching EVO 2015 and Super Smash Bros. Melee and that I didn't really have time! And then I remembered, "Oh, I better let the KoopaTV players know so they don't miss the rest of it."

Check out this Smashboards post for the schedules of every game, and streams, at the biggest fighting game tournament ever. Many many thousands!

Update 7/19/2015: The stream for top 8 Super Smash Bros. Melee is here.

Why isn't Tri Force Heroes on the Wii U?

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Or, as it would be on Wii U, Four Swords Adventures 2.

Were you around when the Wii U was first announced at E3 2011? The KoopaTV staff was alive and watching back then, and we can distinctly remember people were trying to figure out what Nintendo could do with its controller. Nintendo proposed a few ideas in its unveiling trailer.

Wii U E3 2011 Link drawing sketch GamePad Nintendo
You can draw Link, yeah...

None of the ideas were especially compelling, a problem that Nintendo still hasn't solved after four years. Still, fans and game developers across the world were thinking about how this new controller could fuel new gameplay types or reinvigorate older concepts that were ahead of their time.

One idea that popped up in discussion boards over and over again was revisiting the concept for The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures. This was a GameCube game that featured Game Boy Advance-GameCube connectivity, with players having second-screen experiences as they used their Game Boy Advance as a controller. Sometimes the action would go down to the Game Boy Advance's screen from the TV screen. Sadly, not too many people played it since the game encouraged four-player action, and it's hard to have four people with four Game Boy Advances with four link cables. I myself only have one of each. But with the Wii U, the second-screen experience comes with every Wii U and it's all naturally integrated!

MOTHER 3 is Coming Soon!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - That, or Reggie Fils-Aime has mother issues.

Thanks to Nintendo's perceived mismanagement of its IP, there are hundreds of thousands (or millions) of zealot fans who have a persecution complex. I mean, we just wrote about how Metroid fans feel persecuted all the time, erupting over the unveiling of Metroid Prime: Federation Force.

An even smaller, more dedicated fan-base? The MOTHER fans, who just scored a huge victory with EarthBound Beginnings this E3. They probably can't see why all the other fanbases are complaining! This is on top of their victory two years earlier (like, July 2013) for EarthBound to also appear on the Wii U's Virtual Console. That just leaves one MOTHER game left in the series to come outside Japan: MOTHER 3.

MTV reported in 2009 (Reggie quote):
I'm a big "Mother" fan. I have to set the record straight on this topic, because I have seen all of the hate comments. I'm a big "Mother" fan. Huge "Mother" fan. I would love to see "Mother" localized in our market. In fact, I've talked to [Nintendo president] Mr. Iwata about it because this is a game he has some history with. [pauses] But it is not on our announcement schedule. [laughs]

50 Cent's Lost His Sense

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - He also lost his dollars, but we got another currency for him...

Since we couldn't figure out what the hell to write about after yesterday's devastating and heart-felt article, let's write about something completely different. And if you don't watch the videos it's totally PG-rated.

50 Cent! The rapper. The now-bankrupt one. We may or may not be closet mega-fans of 50 Cent, but for a bit of background, here's the Wall Street Journal:
"The rapper 50 Cent filed for bankruptcy protection on Monday, halting a dispute over a sex tape.

The 40-year-old rapper, Curtis James Jackson III, filed for chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn., on Monday, the same day he was supposed to appear in a New York state court to determine whether he owes punitive damages in a 2010 lawsuit filed by Lastonia Leviston, rapper Rick Ross’s ex-girlfriend, court records show.

Jurors said last week that Mr. Jackson should pay $5 million to Ms. Leviston, who said that Mr. Jackson violated her privacy by posting a sex tape of her online. Mr. Jackson’s lawyers dispute the amount of the verdict."
Basically, 50 Cent had possession of a sex tape of a rival rapper's ex-girlfriend, it went public, and she wants his head over it. His $5 million head, in increments of 10 million 50 cent moneybags.

Yes, I'm sure you get where I'm going with this: A wallet of puns.

May Satoru Iwata Rise Directly to Heaven

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - "Leave luck to Heaven".

Yesterday, news came out that Satoru Iwata, Global President of Nintendo, died on Saturday. Here's Nintendo Co. Ltd's statement on it:
"Nintendo Co., Ltd deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth."
And... that's the whole statement, besides mentioning that Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto are still in the company and are representative directors. For those wondering what that means,
"The board must appoint one or more representative directors from among its directors to have authority to represent the company. Representative directors and other directors appointed by board resolution are responsible for carrying out the decisions made by the board and have the authority to represent the company."
This arrangement is sure to be temporary.

So... Besides the obvious respect all of us at KoopaTV has for Satoru Iwata (I'm quite sure he's only been discussed in positive ways here, which is pretty rare for a person on KoopaTV), this just leaves me with a lot of questions about what happens next. ...And questions about the information we were given. So yeah, lots of questions, which is something Iwata is a fan of. "As Nintendo president, I'm also all about asking questions.

But most importantly, we need to honour his memory, which KoopaTV fully intends to do if you read on...

Lizard Squad's Julius Kivimaki — No Justice, No Peace?

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - You guys remember our scaly squad friends, right?

We haven't heard from Lizard Squad since Christmas, so I haven't commentated on them since. I'm sure they've done things, but I haven't heard about those things. But now that George Zimmerman has been quiet since nearly being assassinated, we can finally hear about what other people are doing with their lives.

These other folk include cyber-terrorists like Lizard Squad, which is a ragtag group of terrorists that Vortexica claimed was Russian based on their top-level-domain. (And we all know from experience that those domains don't mean anything.) They're notable for being a bunch of Nintendo fans who brought Microsoft and Sony's console gaming online networks to their knees (or whatever servers have for anatomy), among non-gaming targets. Or maybe they're just friendly towards Nintendo and are just terrorists in general, like Elliot Rodger.

Anyway, Julius Kivimaki — from Finland, not Russia — was identified as a key member of the Lizard Squad, though it may continue without him. He also looks distinctly non-lizard-like, and actually looks like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess's Zant:

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Well, if you wanna get Ludwig excited without getting having to get him into a rant...

Ludwig would like to mention this article has a content warning for mild sexual content. And this exists because of the Requests Section.

So... once upon a time, Ludwig was a young Koopaling growing up. And then he stopped being so young and now he's a crusty old koot. In-between those times in Ludwig's life, he started to have strange feelings within him, which results in videos such as this:

Metroid Prime: Federation Force —Spin-offs are Okay, Guys

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - ...Though not if those spin-offs have you spinning off as a pinball.

Perhaps the biggest anger and outrage from the general fan reaction for Nintendo's E3 2015 was towards Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Now, I'm not the biggest Metroid fan out there (and there are others on the staff not named Rawk who actually are big on the series), but I did own and play through Super Metroid and the games included in Metroid Prime Trilogy. ...Though I did quit Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, which I'm ashamed about. (I quit right after I got the Plasma Beam.)

More later on how Metroid Prime: Federation Force was despised, but lemme give some not-so-apparently-relevant background first.

I never finished it because the aspects of the Metroid series that people love it for — the lonely atmosphere, the backtracking around the world when you get a new item to discover a new path, creepy enemies — aren't things I appreciate. ...Well no, I like the backtracking bit, but I'm more of a cute and cuddly kind of guy. Metroid Prime in particular (and its sequels) requires huge emotional and time investment just to go through a single play session, and I'd say it fits guest-poster Feriku's definition of survival-horror, though she might disagree. I mean, it scares me, and you're trying to survive on whatever alien planet you're on.

Grenchlers are the most terrifying monsters I've encountered in a videogame.
Scarier than Code Name S.T.E.A.M.'s blobs.

So it looks like Metroid Prime: Federation Force is going against a lot of those aspects people like Metroid Prime for, such as that lonely atmosphere bit.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Microtransaction Pain

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Transactions have changed.

While absent from the formal E3 conferences this 2015, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is at the top of a lot of people's lists for this year, and a lot of eyes are on it. After all, this seems to be more or less the last thing famed designer Hideo Koijma is going to be touching before he's totally disassociated from Konami, and we all know that everyone thinks Konami is falling apart.

And perhaps it is with its mobile-centric focus, but The Phantom Pain is supposed to be one last console (and PC) hurrah. Unfortunately, its British page lists it as having micro-transactions, or "in-game purchases".

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain pre-order in-game purchases optional
"In-game purchases"?! Noooooooooo!

"But Ludwig... They're clearly optional."

KoopaTV's Blogspot Independence: Announcing www.koopatv.org!

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - Our own domain name. Finally.

Remember how Vortexica said on our two-year anniversary that we needed our own domain name? And a month earlier I said I was too stingy to buy KoopaTV a domain name?

Well, we would like to announce that KoopaTV is now moving to www.koopatv.org.

KoopaTV July 4 Independence Day banner koopatv.org celebration domain name change
LET'S CELEBRATE!

We are having our independence from our koopatv.blogspot.com address! We are no longer beholden to our Google overlords! And that's a good thing, given their history of outright censorship of property such as KoopaTV.

Disclaimer: koopatv.org was purchased using Google Domains and we are still using Blogger to publish KoopaTV. ...So we're actually even more beholden to our Google overlords than before.

So... What exactly are the benefits of our domain name? Well, it's shorter, so you can fit the whole url into a 3DS or Wii U 16-character message! Also, there is e-mail forwarding, which means I've updated our Contacts page and various pages throughout KoopaTV with our fancy new e-mail addresses. In addition, buying our own domain name means people can take us more seriously, in the "we're going to be sticking around for a while" sense.

By the way, ".org" really does sound authoritative and important, doesn't it? And it's true, we ARE an organisation. Great sites use ".org", like Wikipedia or TV Tropes. So that should also make people want to share our articles more, 'cause hey, the ".org" just sounds like we know what we're talking about a lot more than some fly-by-night ".blogspot.com".

Anticipate the change sometime July 3rd or July 4th. I'm not immediately switching from .blogspot.com after this is published 'cause the site might be down in transition and if people can't read this then this article is pointless, right? Regardless, all koopatv.blogspot.com pages and images should be nicely redirected to koopatv.org. And if they're not, then that's a problem!

Update later 7/3/2015: As you can probably figure out, we made the switch. Let us known if there are any problems.

Let Ludwig know about any problems that occur from the transition so he can address them. Or YOU can address them if you join KoopaTV's staff as an IT guy! Have a great Independence Day!

Check out our music video to celebrate our new domain name here!
TV Tropes is so great that KoopaTV has opened up a TV Tropes page!
One year later, Ludwig evaluates how the transition has impacted KoopaTV.

Wasn't That SMT4 - FE:A Bundle a Load of Lies?

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - I mean, I guess they weren't lying in the sense that you actually got the money.

Way back in July of 2013, Nintendo and Atlus had this deal through Club Nintendo (may you rest in peace) that if you registered Fire Emblem: Awakening (Awakening) and then registered Shin Megami Tensei IV (SMT4), you would get $30 in eShop credit. Or you could do the other way around. That's quite a big deal, and it basically meant "Buy one game, get another 75% off."

This was to incentivise people to buy the just-launched SMT4, and to presumably get people on Nintendo consoles to definitely take a look at the Megami Tensei series. Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem (now known by Genei Ibun Roku #FE — but hopefully not for long) had already been announced half a year earlier in January 2013 exclusively for the Wii U. Most Nintendo gamers would be able to appreciate the Fire Emblem part, but to ensure they had the full benefit of the crossover, they wanted people to know the Shin Megami Tensei side as well.

Of course, now that we know what Genei Ibun Roku #FE has become, all of that was a waste.

And the games weren't even good.

Shin Megami Tensei IV Fire Emblem Awakening bundle deal $30 off eShop credit Atlus Nintendo 3DS
The makers of this deal oughta go into remedial algebra.

KoopaTV's June 2015 Review Newsletter

By LUDWIG VON KOOPA - So E3 month passed. Time to look back on that.

Although it is unfortunate, I think most of us can agree that E3 was a bit of a dud.

Non-videogame events quickly dominated the closing weeks of June, despite that time period supposedly being dedicated to post-E3 analysis. Woops. That said, KoopaTV gave you an enormous quantity of coverage during E3, with June 2015 tying June 2014 for the most amount of articles in a month (36). And that was backed up by strong viewership and commenting numbers, so that's awesome.

The KoopaTV Loyalty Rewards Program is doing good work to make being a KoopaTV player more fulfilling for y'all, which makes us happy too. We love your feedback! (Rawk does too, so be sure to comment on his articles.) So Round 3 of the Rewards Program has started, and the prize is a $10 Nintendo eShop card code! See the full details here, including the new one-time bonus request and the updates to point values (check out the referral points!) to non-commenting activities! Here are the final standings for Round 2 and their chosen prizes:
  1. charssie god — 35 points; F-Zero X.
  2. Samantha Lienhard — 31 points; EarthBound.
  3. JoystickLad — 10 points; Super Smash Bros. For 3DS Ryu code.
But this isn't all just about you... it's also about us! And our articles. So here are the top five most recommended articles in chronological order from June 2015, not including Reaction Logs (which were... most of the articles this month):
  1. The Curious Case of Brutlyn Jenner
  2. The Deluxe Digital Promotion DISASTER!
  3. Super Mario Maker @ Best Buy First-Hand Impressions!
  4. War Between The States: Apple vs. Common Sense
  5. Election Antics Part 2: The Denial of Democracy
When we weren't reacting LIVE to E3's many events, we were writing some awesome commentaries. So everything on KoopaTV is worth reading.

Oh, um, super-important news: We're going to have something really, REALLY special happen on Friday/July 4 weekend. So important, we don't actually know what will happen yet. But something revolutionary will occur. You know, to match the revolutionary-ism of the America-only holiday.

You can join the revolution (not the REVOLution) by sharing KoopaTV to your friends — and then get kickbacks for doing so. It's pretty much a Ponzi scheme except the only person who loses something in the end is Ludwig. Don't you want that to happen?
